On the death of Japan’s former Prime Minister Abe, the US-Philippines Society sends condolences to Akie Abe and the People of Japan

The US–Philippines Society is profoundly shocked and deeply saddened by the assassination of former Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.  He was a true patriot of Japan, and he was devoted to the alliance between the United States and Japan as well as between the Philippines and Japan.  The Society will always remember the work he did throughout his esteemed career to strengthen the security and economic development of the Philippines.  The Society sends its deepest sympathy and condolences to his wife, Akie Abe, and to the people of Japan.
