May 28 | Launch of Virtual Series on History of Filipinos in Washington DC: The Lim Family Stories with Ricardo A. Lim

We are delighted to co-sponsor ISTORYA DC ONLINE, a new and unique online series! At this inaugural event you will learn about the Lim family in Washington, DC from Ricardo A. Lim. His grandparents General Vicente Lim and Pilar Hidalgo Lim, and parents Luis Lim and Estefania Aldaba Lim, were once residents of the District.

General Vicente P. Lim is one of Philippines’ greatest soldiers. He was the first Filipino to graduate from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and was an officer of the Philippine Scouts. He led the 41st Division that stood firm against enemy attacks in the Battle of Bataan in 1942.
