Thousands of needy families suffered a loss of housing and income.

Mangled buildings with roofs torn off, towns engulfed in water, thousands of people in shelters–these are the images of communities like Tuguegarao, Cagayan after Super Typhoon Haima (“Lawin”) swept through the area on October 19, 2016. “Yet people, as only Filipinos are able to, can still smile and offer their hospitality,” said PDRF President Rene Meily.
