September 24: Historic House Party at the William A. Jones Home

Dear US-Philippines Society Members and Friends:

We would like to bring your attention to this event organized by the Richmond County Museum to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the 1916 Jones  Act, the first official document declaring Philippine independence.

According to the Richmond County Museum, host of this annual event, it is “a wonderful opportunity to see this historic house with members of the Jones family providing special insights.”

Program includes music, food, a speaker from the Embassy of the Philippines in DC, tours of the historic Jones house, and Filipino dancers from the well-known Filipino Festival at Richmond’s Our Lady of Lourdes Parish.

Tickets are available at Downings, at the Museum, and at the door: $25.00 Donation. Proceeds and donations will go toward annual operating expenses of Richmond County Museum, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
