Thanks for your Support! Southern PH Coastal Village Receive Food Packs

Thank you Donors and Members

On July 11, 2021, the US-Philippines Society with assistance from Banglapines International and implementing partner organizations in Region IX distributed 150 food packs for the coastal families in Layag-Layag Village, Zamboanga. Each household received a bag of rice, Silver Swan seasoning sauce, sugar, noodles, ketchup, native coffee, cooking oil, and a loaf of bread. Families welcomed the groceries as part of post-EID celebration among Muslim communities. Funding of the program was through the generous response by US-Philippines Society donors and members. The Appeal for Food Packs was an initiative of Banglapines International Managing Director Adzhar Madjid and facilitated by US-PH Society Director Henry B. Howard in response to challenges, including the COVID-19 pandemic and the seaweed drought that affected the livelihood of villagers of Layag-Layag.

Photographs and a video of the program are shown. With your support, we met our goal – to provide relief for families in their time of need.
