As we observe Memorial Day, let us remember those who died in World War II, especially the Filipino and American defenders of Bataan and Corregidor 75 years ago. We also salute the veterans who served so that our generation can live and prosper in free societies. Filipino veterans have now earned recognition, long delayed in many cases, with a U.S. Congressional Gold Medal.
