Book Spotlights Personal and Military Leadership Styles of Two WWII Generals in the Battle for the Philippines

WASHINGTON, D.C.- Author Jonathan Horn’s presentation on the lives and times of two of the Pacific War’s most famous generals, and the dramatic events that connected them, gave the audience a fresh and welcome perspective on the daunting challenges facing both Douglas MacArthur and Jonathan Wainwright.

The book presentation was highly informative and especially timely, as the peoples of the Philippines and America mark the 83rd anniversary of the fall of Bataan and Corregidor this month and the 80th anniversary of the end of WWII this year.

“The Fate of the Generals: MacArthur, Wainwright and the Epic Battle for the Philippines” is superbly written and researched, and is a “must read” as we reflect on the war years and the mark of history in the mid-20th century. The book is available in major bookstores and online.
